Native to Asia, orange trees grow up to 20-30 feet. The trees produce glossy leaves and aromatic white flowers that develop into delicious fruit. The peel of the blood orange is extracted through a cold-pressed method. Blood Orange is considered a variety of sweet orange and shares the same botanical name. The distinctive dark flesh "blood" color is due to the plentiful presence of anthocyanins, a family of healthful antioxidant pigments common to many flowers and fruits, but rare in citrus fruits.
Directions for Use
Topically*: Combine this oil with your choice of carrier oil and apply directly to the skin to reduce inflammation or improve mood. Rubbing onto skin can also help improve personal scent and reduce odor of perspiration.
Aromatically: Diffuse and/or inhale the scent of Blood Orange alone or with complimentary oils to promote clarity, happiness, and mental focus. Diffusion into the air will also aid in deodorizing your home. (Be sure to check how your diffuser acts with citrus oil, as some diffusers can be damaged.)

Description: Citrus sinensis is a middle-sized evergreen tree, covered with bark of a greenish-brown color, having auxiliary spines on the branches. The leaves are alternate, ovate-oblong, acute, shining green, the stalk more or less winged. The blood orange has streaks of red in the fruit, and when squeezed the juice is often reddish.
